Yom Kippur Services and Break Fast at HUC-JIR/Jerusalem
Join us at the Jerusalem campus of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion for Yom Kippur! Young adults and college and high school students working, studying, and visiting Israel are invited to join us immediately following services for a Break Fast meal with HUC-JIR students.

  • Erev Yom Kippur: Tuesday, September 22 at 6:15 pm
  • Yom Kippur Morning: Wednesday, September 23 at 9:30 am, followed by study sessions at 4:00 pm, and mincha/yizkor/ne'ilah at 5:00 pm


Services will be led by Rabbi Michael Marmur, Ph.D., Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Provost; Rabbi Naamah Kelman, Dean, HUC-JIR/Jerusalem; Rabbi Haim Shalom; Cantor Tamar Havilio; and HUC-JIR rabbinical, cantorial, and education students. No tickets are needed for Yom Kippur services.

The fast will end at 7:25 pm and we invite you to join us for a Break Fast meal. Free; RSVP required by September 18 to Rabbi Haim Shalom at hshalom@huc.edu or (02) 620-3392. You are welcome to bring a non-meat dish if you wish, but food will be provided.

Services and the Break Fast meal will take place at Blaustein Hall, Merkaz Shimshon-Beit Shmuel (entrance at 6 Shama Street).
