These deeds are boundless,
One can never do too much of them:
Leaving the corners of a field for the poor,
Bringing first fruits to the Temple,
Bringing offerings at each festival,
Acting kindly,
And studying Torah.
These deeds yield interest throughout your life,
While the principal extends into the world to come:
Honoring father and mother,
Exercising kindness,
Making peace between people,
And studying Torah.

Elu d’varim she-ein lahem shiur,
Hapeiah v’habikurim v’hare’ayon
U-g’milut chasadim v’talmud torah.
Elu d’varim she-adam ochel peiroteihem
ba-olam hazeh
V’hakeren kayemet lo la-olam haba,
Kibud av va-eim u-g’milut chasadim
V’hava-at shalom bein adam la-chaveiro,
V’talmud torah.
