alk into our Schools of Education
and you will find yourself immersed
in a buzzing center of innovation –
alive with the joy of experimentation and love
for questions.
How can Jewish tradition not just survive but
thrive? Should Jewish education happen
exclusively inside a classroom or synagogue?
Why does religious school end after childhood?
Here, you will find a community whose passion
for the future is balanced with a respect for the
past, because only leaders who have been
immersed in precious traditions will be able
to breathe new life into them.
With full-time, part-time, and executive learning
programs, you will prepare to have a lasting
impact by shaping communities, fostering
identity, and inspiring the next generations
of knowledgeable and committed Jews.
Our community celebrates curious minds,
questions without easy answers, and Jewish life.
We invite you to be part of that celebration.
M.a. in Jewish education (Los angeles)
M.a. in religious education (New York)
M.a. in Jewish studies (Los angeles and
New York)
this is the place to help write the Jewish future
empowered with a strong foundation in the past.
As a full-time student becoming a leader in
Jewish education, you can combine ancient
wisdom with up-to-date innovation and bring
new relevancy to Jewish tradition.
That’s why our Master’s programs are the most
intellectually rigorous in their field, demanding
deep familiarity with modern and classical Hebrew,
liturgy, and history. Your days will be filled with
intensive Jewish studies, growing expertise in
educational theory and pedagogy, and exposure
to the newest strategies in experiential learning.
Because of the rich Judaica component, you will
simultaneously earn an M.A. in Jewish Studies –
the only program of its kind to prepare graduates
with equal depth in both both Judaica and educa-
tional leadership.
Your teachers – the largest, most distinguished
Jewish education faculty in the world – are leaders
and practitioners in this growing field who will
encourage your individuality, support your
experimentation, and engage your participation in
cutting-edge research, projects, and professional
internships that are re-imagining Jewish education.
Your journey will take you to Israel, where you will
spend a year building a solid foundation for your
personal search for answers, followed by two more
years of study, collaboration, and practical experi-
ence at our Los Angeles or New York campuses.
