This is a description of an early stage model from the North Shore Jewish Center. The model, Chagim Chayyim Plus, is a family-based education program in which parents learn in parallel to their children. The summary includes an outline of the congregation’s vision; structure, including who the learners are, when and where the learning is taking place and at what frequency, and a sample schedule; curriculum; educators, specifying who the teachers are, their characteristics and a job description; leadership, with an explanation of the various roles of professional and lay leadership; infrastructure, culture, and the program implementation process, including first steps, and challenges faced.
