Congregation Beth Am of Los Altos developed a leadership program tailored to its congregation. The objectives of the program were to inspire members to participate in leadership, and to help make existing leadership skills more effective. A five session seminar was constructed in order to design the new program. The five subjects are: (1) Where We’ve Been as a Way of Understanding Who we Are; (2) Our Values and Vision; (3) Nuts and Bolts of How we Work; (4) Important Issues Facing Beth Am; (5) Governance, the Reform Movement, and Why Lead at Congregation Beth Am. The overview includes outlines for all five sessions and supporting documents such as thank-you letters, text studies, discussion questions, and pre-session handouts. A survey and feedback form are also provided.
