Case Studies for Examining Possible Situations in the Change Process

Four role-play exercises are included in this document. Each role-play addresses a specific situation that could arise during the change process, such as vision statements that do not go far enough (as in case study #1); how to respond when recommendations are either too small or too big (case study #2); how to interact delicately with excited participants in the change process (case study #3); and how to respond when the Task Force does not find alternative models helpful or motivating. The exercises are meant to be repeated several times, in order to test out alternative responses.
