Express Innovation Guide to Engaging “Connector” Families

This sheet from Express Innovation in which innovators are taught how to analyze and access relational ties in the congregation in order to accelerate envisioned changes. Four points are explored:

  1. Identify your “connectors”—who is the model’s target population? How are the socially connected? Which specific people can help you trigger interest and involvement in your model?
  2. Designing Connecting Conversations—build relationships by sharing personal stories, discovering commonalities and differences. Tips for the conversation are included.
  3. At the Conversation—what should be included? How should facilitators act and convey?
  4. After the Conversation—reflect on the conversation for a few days, and decide how to incorporate what you heard into your model. Be sure to follow-up with the participants.
