This is a description of a model, Lirdof Tzedek, at the Congregation Emanu-El in New York City. The model is for 8th grade students, working with the Association to Benefit Children in New York City. The details of the model—who, what, when, where, why, how—are outlined. Governance and financial structures, as well as the model’s key first steps toward implementation and impact on the congregation, are discussed.
