This is a description of an early stage model from the Reconstructionist Synagogue of the North Shore. The model, Project Kehilla, hopes to produce an intimate environment reminiscent of a small size congregation, to increase connectivity between members. The summary includes an outline of the congregation’s vision and goals; structure, including who the learners are, when and where the learning is taking place and at what frequency, and a sample schedule; curriculum; educators, specifying who the teachers are, their characteristics and a job description; leadership, with an explanation of the various roles of professional and lay leadership; infrastructure, culture, and the program implementation process, including challenges faced.
