In this article, Rob Weinberg and Isa Aron report on lessons learned from their work with the ECE. They present an encouraging image of the potential for transformative change in synagogues and congregational schools, while providing guidelines for clear thinking about dissemination of best practices. Specifically, they argue that congregations are willing and able to transform themselves, and that innovative programs can be adapted to fit the needs of a variety of congregations. Innovative programs result in meaningful and ongoing revitalization of the educational culture in a congregation.
