Two assumptions make up the learning of today. First, that the Jewish community needs to make changes in response to changing environments. Second, that systems thinking can be a tool to make meaningful change happen. In this handout, Cyd Weisman explains systems thinking as a tool that helps generate change in organizations; to allow the reader to learn more about systems thinking and change; and to assert the value of systems thinking so that reader is able to apply systems thinking when faced with challenges in the change process.
