This text study focuses on Exodus 13:17-18, which describes God leading the Israelites the “long way around” from Egypt through the wilderness. The questions provided guide participants to explore their RE-IMAGINE process as a journey and to reflect on how process matters as much as the final product. The handout also includes a midrash from Louis Ginzberg’s “Legends of the Jews” and an excerpt from Peter Senge’s “The Dance of Change.”
