We all carry the story of an ancestor who overcame great odds to change the future. Weissman argues that we need to be a generation of educational visionaries, through both step-by-step (evolutionary) and change-inducing (revolutionary) processes. Using Moses and the burning bush as a metaphor, Weissman encourages the reader to pause, reflect and question the congregational school. She urges the reader to risk creating new visions and to challenge the current structure of Jewish education.
