Oceanside Jewish Center Case Study

The following case study is from the Oceanside Jewish Center, a RE-IMAGINE congregation in the New York area. The case study explains the background of the center and identifies several areas that needed improvement, such as differences in generational behavior; the ability to connect with younger families; unorganized committees; and a lack of support for the educator. It then explains how the Re-Imagine Project provided an innovative approach to leadership and shared responsibility. The study provides examples of how congregants articulated what they learned from the Re-Imagine Project and outlines the creation of a vision statement. This case study exemplifies how the Re-Imagine Project can positively impact a congregation.
