Case Studies for Asking Forward: Moving Questions and Assigning Responsibility

Two role-play exercises are included in this document. Each role-play addresses a specific situation that could arise during the change process. Case Study #1 consists of a simulated telephone conversation between the consultant and a leadership team member. The consultant must decide how to respond to negative comments about the change process. Case Study #2 is a simulated telephone conversation between the consultant and the rabbi, in which the rabbi is worried about the amount of work people on sub-teams must do during the change process. The exercises are meant to be repeated several times, in order to test out alternative responses.
