Case Studies for Leadership and Design in the Change Process

Two role-play exercises, both simulated telephone conversations, are included in this document. Each role-play addresses a specific situation that could arise during the change process. Case Study #3 is a role-play between the consultant and the President of the congregation, who wants to address leadership problems. Case Study #4 is a role-play between the consultant and the rabbi, who wants to re-design the Task Force meetings to align them with the culture of the congregation. The exercises are meant to be repeated several times, in order to test out alternative responses.
