Creating long lasting, far reaching, significant change requires professionals to exercise the practices of: using mental maps; engaging in meaningful partnerships with professionals; engaging in meaningful relationships with lay people and staff; shepherding the vision, and renewing professionally. These five practices are explained in detail, with specific strategies and questions for reflection.
