Weissman discusses how some congregational educational programs are shifting their priorities, and with them, the direction of their education programs. Instead of attempting to achieve unrealistic goals, Jewish educational leaders are rethinking their long-term objectives and making bold plans to achieve them. Weissman introduces the idea of a priority goal and whole-person learning. Using specific congregations as examples, she demonstrates how priority goals can and should be focused, meaningful and engaging, for Jewish education to have a lasting impact on the community.
