Small Changes and Vanishing Effects or Long-Lasting, Far-Reaching Significant Change?

Weinberg warns of the challenges synagogues face to create long-lasting, far-reaching change, rather than small changes that disappear over time. He outlines five characteristics that lead to small changes and shares ideas to overcome these characteristics. Weinberg encourages the listener to change their goals and alter their understanding of the scope of the task. He briefly outlines four leadership practices that can lead to far-reaching, long-lasting change: (1) apply systematic, rather than programmatic, changes; (2) collaborate!; (3) share and communicate about the vision; (4) continue to learn, grow and develop a capacity to lead change.
