The following case study is from the Temple Beth David, a RE-IMAGINE congregation in the New York area. The case study explains the background of the congregation and identifies areas which the congregation would like to strengthen, such as outreach to interfaith families and to members whose children are grown. Challenges in education and engagement were also recognized, including invigorating the congregation, reaching out to disenfranchised members, and learning a process for addressing complex issues in the congregation. An explanation of how the Re-Imagine Project helped the congregation successfully build a trusting community and maximize resources to create a vision and strategy for long-lasting change is provided. This case study exemplifies how the Re-Imagine Project can positively impact a congregation.
