Reconstructionist Synagogue of the North Shore Case Study

The following case study is from the Reconstructionist Synagogue of the North Shore (RSNS), a RE-IMAGINE congregation in the New York area. The case study explains the background of the synagogue and identifies several challenges and areas that needed improvement, such as creating community among sub-groups within the congregation. It then explains how the Re-Imagine Project showed the congregation that, although RSNS was already a skilled innovator, they could do more to continually grow and renew. The study provides examples of how congregants articulated what they learned from the Re-Imagine Project and outlines the creation of a vision statement. This case study exemplifies how the Re-Imagine Project can positively impact a congregation.
